Guild is hiring a Forecasting Modeling Principal to scale the impact of a growing Forecasting and Financial Analytics team. In this position, you’ll lead the development of new models and approaches to effectively forecast the client’s education benefit program.

In this role, you’ll have a unique opportunity to work on innovative challenges that will allow us to mature our forecasting processes, deepening relationships with clients and internal teams.

As a Forecasting Modeling Principal, you will:

  • Lead the development and implementation of new usage-based forecasting models to forecast components of clients’ education benefit with Guild using advanced statistical or machine learning techniques
  • Partner with senior leaders across Analytics, Data Science, Data Engineering, Product, Technology, and other teams to leverage forecasting models to drive strategic decision-making and business growth.
  • Align and integrate diverse needs and requests with strategic goals to define clear requirements for model development
  • Partner with Forecasting and Financial Analytics teammates to deliver full set of forecasts in service of managing client’s education benefit program
  • Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation
  • Produce insights, analyses, and recommendations to help internal stakeholders understand forecast drivers and the impact on client and internal business metrics

You are a strong fit for this role if you have:

  • 7+ years of total experience in analytics, data science, forecasting, or financial planning & analysis.
  • Extensive experience using advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to develop, maintain, and tune usage based forecasting models
  • Proficiency in multiple coding languages (e.g., R, Python) and experience with automation tools (e.g., Airflow, DBT)
  • Strong experience with SQL and experience transforming and structuring large datasets into reusable formats
  • Experience with Looker, Tableau, or similar data visualization tool
  • Ability to execute quickly with high attention to detail
  • Exceptional problem solving, analytical, data visualization, and project management skills
  • Strong ability to identify the most significant metrics for a given business objective and translate analyses into tangible recommendations for business leaders, working cross functionally to achieve shared objectives
  • Comfort presenting insights to senior team members using data-driven storytelling

We feel passionately about equal pay for equal work, and transparency in compensation is one vehicle to achieve that. Total compensation for this role is market competitive, including a base salary range of $155,000 - $203,750 and variable compensation, as well as company stock options.
