Energy Solutions interns will have opportunities to shine! As a Summer intern, you can network across the company, connect with other interns, and present your work to supportive stakeholders. We offer full- and part-time paid remote internships for 10 to 12 weeks. This program is intended for students currently enrolled in an undergraduate program as a second to fourth year student or enrolled in a graduate program. All positions are fully remote. Our Summer cohort runs between late May/early June 2025 and August 2025, and our Fall cohort runs between September 2025 and November 2025. These opportunities, paired with Energy Solutions’ mission-driven approach, create a perfect environment for individuals who want to have an active voice in shaping the energy future.

Energy Engineering Intern

The Energy Engineering Intern position is an excellent opportunity for someone with engineering or data analysis savvy looking for real-world applications in the energy industry. If you are enrolled in an engineering or technical program aligned with Energy Solutions' mission (including but not limited to environmental, mechanical or electrical engineering) and are detail oriented, this may be the role for you!

In this full-time position (30-40 hrs/week), you will closely collaborate with the engineers of our Energy Efficiency team. Your tasks will include data analysis, data organization, and day-to-day project support in service of Energy Solution's mission to mitigate climate change.

Due to the depth of this role, you may touch on many project components to make it a fulfilling experience. Project opportunities include:

• Supporting program equipment uploads and Quality Control (QC)
• Contributing to the development of a creation tool for program engineering support
• Completing material updates for program optimization
• Tableau report creation

• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
• Must be or previously been enrolled in an engineering or technical program.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team
• Experience gathering, tracking, and sorting data

Compensation: 

• Undergraduate student: $21/hr
• Graduate student: $24/hr

Energy Efficiency Shared Services Intern

Are you data-savvy, detail oriented, and looking for real-world experience with midstream energy efficiency projects? Do you want to positively impact people and the environment? The Energy Efficiency Shared Services Internship may be for you!

In this full-time position (30-40 hrs/week), day-to-day program support role, you will work collaboratively with industry professionals across our midstream Energy Efficiency (EE) teams and Information Systems (IS) team. You will work on a variety of projects including Iris, our internal client management software. The bulk of your tasks will be centered around data: analyzing, processing, managing, sorting, and extrapolating to meet project goals. Your contributions will directly improve our client deliverables.

Due to the scope of this role, you may touch on many projects components to make it a fulfilling experience. Project opportunities include:

• Collaborate daily with team members on midstream energy efficiency projects, including the Iris team
• Process and analyze data to support project operations
• Contribute to project management and Quality Assurance (QA) activities
• Have a hand in boosting program metrics for environmental benefits

• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience gathering, managing, and interpreting data
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team
• Energy Efficiency skills or interest a plus
• Prior exposure to programming a plus

Compensation: 

• Undergraduate student: $21/hr
• Graduate student: $24/hr
