Overview
We are looking for a Consultant to join our team. January Advisors is a data-focused consulting firm that works with nonprofits, academics, and governments across the United States. This role is research and person-oriented role. It does not require skills in programming or data science.
As a consultant, you will work as a part of a team to meet with clients, interview stakeholders, develop presentations, analyze data, synthesize information, and make recommendations. In this position, you will be working with community-based organizations on data projects related to strategy, planning, and evaluation.
This is a remote position, but requires approximately 10-20% travel to client sites across the United States.

Job responsibilities:
- Work with clients to develop data-centered strategies and priorities
- Interview stakeholders, take notes, and synthesize information
- Develop conceptual frameworks to organize and communicate complex information
- Create presentation materials and present findings to diverse audiences
- Gather, interpret, and synthesize information from diverse sources to inform organizational strategy and program development
- Develop monitoring and evaluation plans for programs, organizations, and networks
- Produce comprehensive project documentation
- Periodically travel to client sites to facilitate meetings and workshops
- Build strong working relationships through effective engagement, open communication, and responsive partnership with clients and team members

Experience:
- 4+ years of experience in a data-related role within the nonprofit sector or related experience
- Experience with remote work environments
- Evaluation expertise preferred
- Working knowledge of surveys and data analysis tools preferred
- Graduate degree in Social Work, Public Policy, Data Science, or a related field or equivalent experience
Compensation and benefits include:
- Remote position
- 35 hour work week
- $80,000 base salary with up to $10,000 in performance incentives
- 3+ weeks paid time off
