- Contribute to building our engineering culture and processes as we scale.
- Work with our Product Manager to scope projects and execute on innovative features.
- Participate in the research, design, development, and testing of features.
What you have:
- 10+ years of experience designing, building, shipping, and maintaining complex full-stack software.
- Experience with a startup environment or the ability to operate effectively when faced with ambiguity.
- Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences and topics.

More about Rootable
Join a compassionate and purpose-driven community that value food and climate justice, joy, creativity and care work. Thrive in a flexible remote-friendly environment where caregivers and folks with passions outside their 9 to 5 are encouraged to show up as they are. Rootable is an ideal place for folks looking to experiment with non-traditional ways startup culture might function.
Rootable is incubating under Boulder Food Rescue, a trans-led 501c3 nonprofit. Boulder Food Rescue aims to create a more just and less wasteful food system. BFR facilitates the sustainable redistribution of healthy food that would otherwise be wasted to low-income communities, by bicycle. It works with communities to facilitate their own food redistribution and create decentralized systems to bypass barriers to food access. BFR’s work envisions a world in which everyone has equitable access to healthy food.
What sets Rootable apart is its people power. It is democratically owned and operated by nonprofits and profits go back to the communities that use it. This ownership model allows for a more relationship-based approach to feature development.
