Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE

 

We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and people-centric Senior Product Manager to lead the planning, prioritization, and execution oversight of enterprise data and analytics products. This senior role is critical to translating complex business challenges into scalable, high-impact data solutions by driving product vision, overseeing roadmaps, and managing a team of Product Solutions Architects aligned to business domains.

 

The Senior Product Manager ensures that all initiatives deliver tangible business value, applying scaled agile methodologies and product management best practices to enable transparent, cross-functional collaboration. This position plays a central role in developing scalable intake processes, refining prioritization frameworks, and aligning delivery strategies with enterprise objectives.

 

Beyond internal execution, this leader acts as a key outward-facing voice of the data and analytics organization. The role is responsible for managing the team’s internal brand, shaping its strategic narrative, and providing the business with ongoing transparency into our priorities and impact. Through intentional communication strategies, stakeholder engagement, and feedback loops, this role fosters trust, drives visibility, and champions data as a core enabler of enterprise performance.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

 

  • Own the full lifecycle of data and analytics products, from ideation and intake through prioritization, execution, post-launch optimization, and ongoing support.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Product Solutions Architects, providing domain-aligned guidance and ensuring scalable, reusable, and governed product design.
  • Define and continuously evolve product roadmaps that reflect business priorities, enterprise strategy, and technical feasibility.
  • Establish robust frameworks for backlog management, user story refinement, and sprint planning across multiple product tracks.
  • Drive internal communication efforts to promote the data & analytics team’s mission, services, and active initiatives, building a clear and compelling identity.
  • Engage with business stakeholders and executive sponsors to capture feedback, set expectations, and ensure strategic alignment.
  • Champion agile and SAFe practices to ensure predictability, velocity, and product integrity across cross-functional teams.
  • Enforce and advocate for data governance and quality standards throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Measure and communicate key outcomes, adoption trends, and the business value of delivered products.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor on product scalability, reuse opportunities, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

 

Educational Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field is required.
  • Master’s degree in a related field or MBA is preferred.

 

Work Experience

  • 8+ years of experience in data product management, data architecture, analytics, or related technical leadership roles.
  • Minimum 3 years in a product leadership, agile program management, or senior product owner capacity.
  • Prior experience leading high-performing teams in a matrixed or scaled agile environment.
  • Experience in the renewable energy sector or a similarly complex, data-rich industry is highly desirable.

 

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated success driving the vision, design, and delivery of enterprise-wide data or analytics products.
  • Expertise with SAFe, Agile Release Trains, and backlog/roadmap management at scale.
  • Strong facilitation, prioritization, and communication skills with ability to influence at all organizational levels.
  • Track record of effective cross-functional leadership and stakeholder engagement.
  • Deep understanding of data lifecycle management, self-service analytics, and value stream delivery.
  • Ability to translate business challenges into scalable, governed data solutions and product frameworks.

 

Technical Skills

  • Expertise in: Product Lifecycle Management, Agile/Scrum/SAFe methodologies, Azure DevOps.
  • Proficient with: Backlog grooming, KPI tracking, SharePoint, data governance and quality frameworks.
  • Experience/Exposure to: Databricks, Azure Data Lake, Power BI, Microsoft Purview, LucidChart/Spark, Monday.com, custom analytics and workflow applications.

 

The expected starting pay range for this role is $118,000 - $160,000 USD. This range is an estimate and base pay may be above or below the ranges based on several factors including but not limited to location, work experience, certifications, and education. In addition to base pay, Pattern’s compensation program includes a bonus structure for full-time employees of all levels.
