Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Data & Partnerships Coordinator to support The Workers Lab’s technical consulting efforts, in collaboration with partners like the UCLA Labor Center.
This role will focus on delivering technical assistance, administering program systems (like digital portals), and facilitating data management workflows for workforce initiatives that support historically underserved communities. The Data & Partnerships Coordinator will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient and responsive program operations.
The ideal candidate will be a clear communicator with a knack for relaying technical information to nontechnical audiences, as well as a demonstrated commitment to economic and social justice.
The Workers Lab leverages worker-centered investment, research, and technology to help shape modern and inclusive systems for all workers. Our technology arm, WorkIt Labs, designs, develops, and delivers tools that put power directly into the hands of workers.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a point of contact for partner organizations, triaging inquiries about data management and program technical infrastructure
- Support grantee organizations in navigating required digital systems and platforms
- Coordinate and manage shared program infrastructure, such as program portals, using off-the-shelf and bespoke solutions (e.g., Canvas, Zendesk, CalJOBS)
- Support the development of resource materials, including guides, FAQs, and training documentation; deliver synchronous training content and virtual office hours
- Participate in longitudinal data management and evaluation design
- Develop subject matter expertise in program data norms and partner needs
- Field and implement stakeholder feedback
- If local, attend quarterly in-person convenings in LA County
Qualifications
Required:
- 1–3 years of experience in a community, education, workforce, or program implementation setting — especially in a technical assistance or nonprofit partner support role.
- Familiarity with digital tools and platforms used for case management, learning, or reporting (e.g., LMSes, CRMs, workforce systems).
- Foundational understanding of key concepts in information architecture and data collection, such as data types and entity relationships.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills; comfortable interfacing with a diverse range of partners.
- Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage shared systems and communications.
- Ability to learn and explain how to use program-related tools and platforms.
- A commitment to economic and social justice. You understand and can articulate issues facing communities of color, women, and low-and moderate-income families.
Preferred:
- Experience with workforce development, apprenticeship/pre-apprenticeship programs, or public sector funding programs.
- Familiarity with LA County workforce systems or the CalJOBS platform.
- Bilingual in Spanish.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
The Workers Lab is an equal-opportunity employer with a commitment to equity. People of color, women, and LGBTQIA+ candidates are encouraged to apply.
