Remote IT Manager

We are looking for an experienced and strategic Remote IT Manager to oversee the planning, implementation, and maintenance of our organization’s IT infrastructure and systems. This role requires a strong leader who can manage a distributed IT team, ensure cybersecurity and system uptime, and support both day-to-day IT operations and long-term technology strategy—all in a fully remote environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage and support all IT systems, applications, and infrastructure remotely

Lead a distributed team of IT professionals and contractors

Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices

Oversee system upgrades, installations, and configuration of software/hardware

Monitor system performance and ensure the security and integrity of networks and data

Manage vendor relationships and IT procurement

Ensure business continuity and disaster recovery plans are in place and tested

Implement and manage cybersecurity protocols and compliance requirements

Provide technical support escalation and issue resolution for remote teams

Collaborate with departments to identify and fulfill technology needs

Manage IT budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation
Required Qualifications:

Proven experience as an IT Manager, Systems Administrator, or in a similar IT leadership role

Strong knowledge of IT systems, networking, cybersecurity, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)

Experience with remote infrastructure and collaboration tools (e.g., VPNs, Zoom, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Slack)

Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Strong understanding of compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2)

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications:

Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP, PMP, ITIL, Microsoft Certified, AWS Certified)

Experience managing remote IT support/helpdesk teams

Familiarity with DevOps, SaaS environments, and automation tools

Experience in IT strategy development and execution
