POSITION OVERVIEW
The Product Manager II leverages a strong understanding of the banking industry and technology to drive the development, enhancement, and management of banking products and digital experiences that serve both internal and external clients. This role guides products through their full lifecycle—from concept and design to launch, integration, and ongoing improvement—ensuring that each solution aligns with market needs, customer expectations, and the Bank’s strategic objectives.
Supporting a wide range of offerings, including consumer, small business, and commercial lending; deposit and treasury management solutions; and related digital services, the Product Manager II collaborates closely with fellow product managers, project managers, sales teams, operations, IT, Marketing, Compliance, and third-party technology providers to ensure seamless execution across all phases of development.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Product Strategy and Development
- Develops and enhances product concepts, features, and designs that align with market demand, client needs, and business objectives.
- Conducts market and competitor research to identify trends, technologies, and growth opportunities.
- Translates business requirements and client feedback into actionable product enhancements and solutions.
- Creates product documentation, including requirements, functional specifications, user flows, and mock-ups.
- Participates in all phases of the product development lifecycle, from design and testing to integration and rollout.
- Defines and executes user acceptance testing and certifies project readiness for launch.
Product Lifecycle and Performance Management
- Oversees the implementation, management, and continuous improvement of new and existing banking products and services.
- Ensures assigned product systems operate effectively, meeting performance and compliance standards within established SLAs.
- Develops and manages product budgets, KPIs, and reporting to support lifecycle management and performance optimization.
- Provides advanced product support and guidance to internal teams and resolves escalated client issues.
- Maintains up-to-date product documentation, procedures, and user guides.
- Identifies and recommends process improvements to enhance efficiency, usability, and overall performance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration and Communication
- Partners with Operations, IT, Compliance, Marketing, and other teams to ensure effective product delivery and risk management.
- Coordinates cross-departmental product changes and integrations to maintain alignment and ensure smooth implementation.
- Communicates product status, risks, and key decisions to stakeholders through regular updates and reports.
- Fosters collaboration, teamwork, and open communication across departments to support a positive work environment.
- Performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned to support departmental and organizational objectives.
Risk, Compliance, and Vendor Oversight
- Serves as the primary liaison with third-party technology providers to manage vendor relationships, resolve issues, and ensure platform reliability.
- Monitors vendor performance against contractual and service-level obligations, conducting regular risk assessments.
- Supports compliance, risk, and audit reviews of assigned products to ensure regulatory adherence.
- Ensures all product activities align with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and risk management standards.
- Completes all required compliance training on time.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field or equivalent experience.
- 10 years of demonstrated experience in product management.
- Prior experience in the banking or financial services sector.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.
- Proficiency in requirements gathering, process modeling, and documentation.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience managing the full lifecycle of banking or digital financial products, from concept to launch and continuous improvement.
- Strong understanding of banking operations, regulatory requirements, and digital banking trends.
- Experience with core banking systems, online/mobile banking platforms, or treasury management technologies.
- Proven ability to translate business strategy and customer needs into actionable product roadmaps and technical requirements.

COMPENSATION
The posted pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role but may include ranges from the different geographies where this position may be based. New employees' starting pay is usually from the start of the range to approximately 25% of the max, more qualified and/or experienced employees may start near the middle of the range for their geography. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range.
Compensation for our organization is based on factors that include the role, required knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies, and candidates’ relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. Our pay ranges are based on national living wage indexes, such as MIT's living wage index, to enable us to pay our employees beyond what are standard practices for many employers, and also take into account geographically-specific recent compensation market survey data for each position.
