Creative Producer - Paid Social
JotPsych ยท Washington, DC/Remote (US - East Coast)
About the Role (Quick Summary)
We’re hiring a Creative Producer - Paid Social to help rebuild and scale JotPsych’s top-of-funnel through high-velocity creative execution, with a primary focus on Meta ads.
This is a flexible role open to part-time contract, contract-to-hire, or full-time, depending on the candidate. The mandate is intentionally narrow: ship great paid creative every week, learn quickly, and iterate.
You’ll partner closely with Growth, Product, and the founders to turn ideas, customer insights, and product updates into ads that perform. This role is ideal for someone who is hands-on, execution-first, and comfortable working quickly with imperfect inputs.
Key details at a glance:
- Role Type: Flexible — contract, contract-to-hire, or full-time
- Hours: 15–40 hours/week depending on configuration
- Experience: 2–6+ years in paid creative, performance marketing, or related roles
- Primary focus: Meta ads (static + short-form video)
- Who you’ll work with: CEO, Chief of Staff, Growth, Product
- Impact: Direct ownership of top-of-funnel creative and acquisition learnings
Mission
Behavioral health is in crisis. Demand is at an all-time high, and clinicians are drowning in admin work—often spending 3+ hours per day documenting sessions, chasing billing, and wrestling with their EHR.
JotPsych’s mission is to defeat admin work and let clinicians practice human-centered healthcare.
We already reduce note-taking time by ~90% for thousands of providers. Now we’re expanding into billing, scheduling, e-prescriptions and more. Content is how we’ll tell that story to the world.
JotPsych: Background and Context
JotPsych | Spend less time on patient notes with our behavioral health scribe software
- ๐ Elevator pitch: JotPsych software listens to behavioral health providers while they talk to their patients (with consent, of course). A few seconds after the patient leaves the room, the provider already has a robust draft of the medical note waiting for them. Super customizable, easy to integrate with any current workflow. No more typing during the session, no more catching up on notes at home in the evening. Eye contact and peace of mind. ๐ง
- ๐ JotPsych is a post-revenue, seed-stage software startup backed by Base10. The product currently reduces administrative time for behavioral health clinicians by 90% and is expanding to encompass other clinical and administrative workflows. You can learn more about JotPsych by visiting the website, reading up on our fundraise announcement, and/or by listening to the podcasts below:
- โ๏ธ JotPsych was founded by Nate Peereboom and Jackson Bierfeldt. Nate’s mom was a nurse practitioner, so he grew up in the shadow of overwhelming medical documentation. Jackson is a language and audio nerd, and when GPT-3 hit the market, he knew something could be done here. The company is currently 8-12 FTE.
- ๐ JotPsych has scribed for nearly 2,000,000 patient encounters.

Role
We’re looking for a Creative Producer to own the production and iteration of paid creative, especially for Meta.
This is not a brand, content strategy, or people-management role. It is a builder role focused on turning rough inputs into shippable ads quickly, testing multiple angles, and iterating based on performance.
You’ll thrive here if you:
- Enjoy shipping creative weekly
- Are comfortable prioritizing speed and clarity over polish
- Like working with video and visuals, not just copy
- Think in hooks, formats, and variants
- Want clear ownership over creative output
Core Responsibilities
1. Own Paid Social Creative Production
- Produce and ship static and video ads for paid social, primarily Meta.
- Turn rough inputs (bullets, Looms, transcripts, product screenshots, customer quotes) into ad-ready creative.
- Create multiple creative variants per concept (hooks, visuals, headlines, CTAs).
2. Visual & Visual Execution
- Create short-form video for ads: UGC-style clips, simple explainers, screen recordings, founder-led content.
- Edit and adapt video for different placements and formats.
- Optimize for speed, clarity, and performance rather than high-end production.
3. Performance-Driven Iteration
- Partner closely with Growth to review creative performance.
- Refresh and iterate on creative based on learnings from live campaigns.
- Maintain a lightweight log of what we tested and what we learned.
4. Build a Repeatable Creative Cadence
- Establish simple workflows for producing and refreshing paid creative.
- Build a library of reusable hooks, angles, and visual assets.
- Help create a sustainable creative system that can scale over time.
Example Projects
- Take a founder Loom and turn it into 5 Meta ad variants in a week.
- Produce 3 short-form video ads explaining why billing mistakes cost clinicians money.
- Refresh an underperforming ad with new hooks and visuals based on performance data.
- Turn a customer quote or interview clip into static and video ad formats.
- Collaborate with Growth to test 5–10 new creative concepts per month and summarize learnings.
Requirements
We’re looking for a hands-on creative executor with strong visual and performance instincts.
Must-haves:
- Experience producing visual and/or video creative for paid social.
- Comfort shipping creative quickly and iterating based on feedback.
- Strong intuition for what makes ads clear, credible, and scroll-stopping.
- Ability to manage multiple creative threads in parallel.
- Willingness to work with imperfect inputs and ambiguity.
Nice-to-haves:
- Experience with Meta ads or performance marketing teams.
- Familiarity with PLG or SMB SaaS.
- Healthcare or regulated-industry experience.
- Comfort being on camera or directing others on camera.
Timing and location
We want to hire as soon as we find the right person.
๐ก๐ This role is remote-friendly with flexibility to work where you’re most effective.
We have a preference for candidates who can occasionally join us in Washington, DC (HQ) or within easy travel distance (New York, Baltimore, Philly), but it’s not required.
For candidates outside the DC area, we may bring you in for onboarding, team onsites, or major planning sessions.
Compensation
This role may remain contract, or may convert to full-time depending on candidate interest and if it’s a strong mutual fit. We’re open to a range of seniority levels, and compensation will vary accordingly.
Contract (Ongoing or Contract-to-Hire)
- $50–$100 per hour, depending on seniority and scope
- Flexible weekly hours (typically 15–40 hours per week)
- Option to remain contract long-term if preferred
Full-Time Conversion (Optional)
If both sides want to move into a full-time role, you can expect:
- $90,000–$140,000+ base salary, depending on experience
- Meaningful equity in the company
- Performance-based bonuses tied to growth and content impact

We deeply value the experience of gathering and working together, in our hometown but also elsewhere. Below is a snapshot of our “out of town” excursions.
Every year, we travel to Cleveland for “Summer Camp”. Here are some shots from 2024 and 2025. We rented a house, made huge strides in product development/sales, and secured our first paid customer. Plus, we did some great bonding.
