TrueMeter is building the AI Energy Agent, the default way businesses manage and pay for power. We consolidate messy multi utility bills into a single intelligent platform that reduces cost and complexity.

We launched our MVP in May 2024. Since then we have onboarded millions in annual energy spend from major brands. We are seed stage backed by top Silicon Valley investors and building fast.

The Role

We are hiring an experienced Full-Stack Engineer to own product features end to end from React UI to Python APIs to analytical SQL.

This is not a narrow frontend role. This is product engineering at the core of the company.

You will work on the customer dashboard that businesses rely on to track bills, monitor usage, download financial reports, and make energy decisions. You will design systems that scale from 10 customers to 10000 securely, reliably and fast.

You will work directly with the CTO and a small high intensity team. High ownership. High visibility. High expectations.

What You Will Build

• Customer Dashboard: React

• Multi tenant role based SaaS UI

• Data heavy views powered by BigQuery

• Secure file downloads using short lived GCS signed URLs

• High performance filtering pagination and caching

• Backend Services: Python

• FastAPI services deployed on Cloud Run

• Cloud Functions powering product endpoints

• Authentication and authorization using Firebase

• Production grade APIs with logging monitoring and strong reliability

• Data Layer SQL First

• Write performant BigQuery SQL

• Design tenant safe data access patterns

• Collaborate on dbt models and transformation logic

• Optimize queries for cost and latency

• Cloud Infrastructure: GCP including BigQuery Firestore GCS Cloud Run IAM Secret Manager

• Infrastructure as code with Terraform

• Observability monitoring and cost awareness

• Data stack building to handle AI agentic workflows

Our Stack

• Frontend: React, Vite, TailwindCSS, Webflow

• Data: BigQuery SQL dbt

• Infra: GCP Cloud Run GCS IAM Secret Manager Terraform

• Python and SQL are required.

Who You Are

• 2+ plus years building production full stack systems

• Strong in Python and SQL

• Familiar with GCP or AWS

• Strong in React with experience building real SaaS dashboards

• Multi tenant SaaS experience

• Comfortable shipping features end-to-end without handholding

• Experienced in fast moving startup environments

• You care about product quality not just ticket completion

• You connect technical decisions to business impact

Final compensation depends on experience, scope and impact.

Compensation Range:

<2 years of experience: $120-$150k
2-5 years of experience: $150 - $190k
5+ years of experience: $190-$220k
