Product Marketing Lead
Poparide · Remote (CAN)
Company overview
At Poparide, we want to create a world where resources are shared to help preserve our planet for generations to come. We’ve built a city-to-city carpooling platform that helps fill empty seats in cars and makes travel more social, affordable and sustainable for everyone.
We’re looking for a Product Marketing Lead who deeply understands product-led growth and the user lifecycle in a B2C mobile app environment. You will leverage our trusted brand to deeply understand our members, uncovering the core motivations that turn individual trips into shared journeys.
You’ll work directly with the CEO, COO, Data, and Product teams to grow our activation and retention rates, inform our product roadmap, contribute to our expansion go-to-market strategy and connect with our 2M+ members to solve more of their transportation needs.
We’re a small, tight-knit team of 22 passionate people. We’re profitable, intentional about staying lean, and proud of our “small but mighty” approach. This role is for someone who’s hands-on, takes ownership, and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves to make things happen with limited oversight and resources.
You have…
- 7+ years of experience as product or growth marketer with a focus on product-led growth
- Demonstrated success scaling users and engagement in consumer-facing products and/or apps with a focus on converting intent into real, repeat usage
- Mastery of the post-signup journey, prioritizing member activation and retention
- 3+ years of leadership experience mentoring multi-functional product and marketing teams and managing complex projects
- A keen eye for great copywriting, storytelling and design to deliver high-quality growth campaigns with high impact
- Experience launching new markets, from go-to-market strategy to demand generation and offline marketing
- Cultural fluency across North America, with a nuanced understanding of Canadian and US landscapes
- A data-driven, customer-centric mindset that uses member insights to power operational decisions
Bonus points for having
- Architected brand narratives that translate high-level strategy into a consistent, compelling voice
- Experience in a 2-sided marketplace and context of how different user behaviour and motivations affects outcomes
- Experience managing external talent, including freelancers and agencies, to extend team reach
- Familiarity with carpooling, shared mobility or travel platforms in North America
- Knowledge of French or Spanish
What you will be doing
- Lead and build a small but mighty squad: Mentor current team members across Growth and Marketing functions and identify hiring needs as we scale
- Architect the marketing roadmap: Design the annual strategy by aligning business priorities with robust product marketing frameworks, ensuring growth initiatives are data-driven and consistently move members from exploration to real usage
- Drive market expansion: Partner with CEO and COO to build the end-to-end go-to-market strategy and execution of growth activities for expansion to new routes across North America
- Ensure brand consistency: Deeply understand our unique value to members and translate their insights into compelling narratives and consistent, branded messaging
- Own the member lifecycle: Oversee the end-to-end execution of lifecycle marketing, social strategy, and content to move the needle on activation and retention, continuously testing and refining narratives and channels
- Create the creative engine: Build and manage a network of freelance designers, copywriters, and translators to ensure high-quality output
- Drive cross-functional integration: Partner with Operations, Product, Data, and Support teams to lead seamless campaign execution and product launches
- Optimize for performance: Monitor key metrics to rapidly iterate on strategy and unlock sustainable and scalable growth, contributing to the evolution of growth frameworks and operating cadence that support ongoing experimentation and learning
Compensation & location
- Full-time, remote role (Ontario or British Columbia, Canada)
- Base salary starting at $130,000, plus profit-sharing
- Equity through the Employee Stock Options Plan (ESOP)
- Access to our Company benefits plan
- 20 paid holiday days per year
- 10 wellness days per year
- 10 paid statutory days off per year
