Senior Research Analyst

The Center on Poverty and Social Policy at the Columbia University School of Social Work focuses on poverty and social policy issues in New York City and the United States more broadly. The Center produces actionable research to advance our understanding of poverty and the role of social policy in reducing poverty and promoting economic security, opportunity, and well-being in New York City and the United States.
We are seeking a Senior Research Analyst to conduct research and data analysis using the Poverty Tracker—the Center's longitudinal study of poverty and well-being in New York City—and across the Center's federal and state policy research portfolio, including original academic research, policy simulations, and joint reports with external partners. The Research Analyst will lead project teams, manage research deliverables, and supervise student research assistants.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in social science field, Master’s degree preferred, with four to six years of experience conducting social science research required.
- Strong computer, data analysis, and organizational skills are essential.
