Founded in 1938, the Oakland Housing Authority (OHA) is a public agency that ensures quality, affordable housing for low-income families in Oakland. OHA currently provides subsidized housing to nearly 16,500 families across the City, making it the largest landlord in Oakland. OHA is seeking a strong, hands-on manager with excellent technical expertise to serve as its next Assistant Director of Information Technology & Operations. The ideal candidate will be an experienced people leader who inspires and motivates staff while fostering a collaborative, accountable, and professional work environment. Strong communication and relationship-building skills are essential, as is the ability to effectively represent the IT Department across the organization and with executive leadership.

Qualified candidates will possess a bachelor's degree in computer science, business administration, or a related field, along with at least four years of experience managing complex IT networks and systems for a public housing agency; or at least eight years of information technology management experience in an upper-management position with an affordable housing agency that utilizes industry-standard housing business systems. Equivalent combinations of education, experience, and training may be considered. Candidates must possess, or be able to obtain within six months of hire, an ITIL Foundation-level certification or higher in IT Service Management, or an equivalent certification. Bilingual skills in ASL, Mandarin, Cantonese, Vietnamese, and/or Spanish are highly desirable. The annual salary range for the Assistant Director of Information Technology & Operations is $172,389.62 - $199,919.20; placement within this range is dependent on qualifications and experience.
